THE POSITION:
The STACK Solutions Delivery team manages the delivery and turnover of data center space meeting the clients’ specific requirements. They are client focused with strong project management skills, project financials and the ability to drive process efficiency. They have strong internal cross functional team relationships and external contractor, vendor and consultant relationships that work to deliver the client’s data hall fit out projects. The client’s data hall fit out scope ranges in scale from a cage environment, significant modifications of a multi-MW facility to new data hall fit out builds within new facilities.
The Solutions Delivery Director will be responsible for leading client communication and managing client requirements, project financial management, bid management and contract negotiations working closely with other departments of the organization such as construction, finance, operations, and solutions engineering to ensure that the project is delivered on time and on budget to client specifications.
This position will also manage, at a project level, the activities of the onsite STACK Delivery Project Managers to ensure alignment with the 4 pillars of Project Management by STACK: Budget, Quality, Schedule, and Safety.
- As the Director you will be responsible for the project with a key emphasis on client communication, financial diligence, safety, and schedule.
- You will build upon processes and reporting of project functions, creating a controlled and deliberate approach.
- Manage vendor community, qualification, and onboarding.
- Ability to lean in and manage projects directly.
- Be willing to dig in to discover the cause of issues and be creative in solving them.
THE DETAILS:
- Location: Hybrid
- Travel: Up to 25%
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must pass comprehensive background screening.
- Reports to the VP, Solutions Delivery
MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in leading Data Center Fit Out Projects.
- Have solid foundations in technology along with a proven track record in successfully delivering projects on time and on budget.
- Experience demonstrating ability to manage a small team handling multiple projects at different sites.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Ability to manage budgets and project financials.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate with both Hyperscale and Enterprise clients.
- Ability to multi-task, with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to understand and follow clear directions and meet specific deadlines with reporting, communication, and project schedules.
- Team player across the organization
- Professional-level proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (also Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, OneNote)
