THE POSITION:
At STACK, the Public Affairs Associate is responsible for supporting the Public Affairs team with executing STACK’s strategic Government Relations, Economic Development, and Community Engagement goals. The Public Affairs Associate is also responsible supporting the Public Affair’s team’s cross-functional work with STACK’s Development, Utility, Marketing, Communications, Tax and Construction teams.
The position will be based in Virginia but will work on initiatives across STACK America’s portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Public Affairs organization to:
- Develop company positions on existing and emerging challenges for STACK Americas.
- Plan and execute on community engagement initiatives.
- Execute and track economic development incentives.
- Staff STACK leadership for external engagements with elected leaders.
- Manage core team operational needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
This is an entry level position well suited for a candidate who is interested in building a career in public affairs in an industry supporting the some of the most important technology of the 21st century. Preferred qualifications include:
- A bachelor's degree in a business, policy, or communications discipline.
- Experience working with state, local, or federal government.
- Experience providing detailed communications to internal and external stakeholder.
- Experience in project management.

- Travel: Domestic travel based on business needs, up to 15%
