Chemical Processing Technician
Job Description:
The Chemical Processing Technician operates an overhead crane and controls line equipment to anodize aluminum parts. They supervise the process to ensure consistent production and quality is acquired.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Review job card instructions, blueprints, visual aids, etc.
- Understand and apply internal and customer specifications.
- Monitor process to ensure parts will meet customer requirements
- Perform quality tests
- Accurately document processing and logs
- Assists with upholding department 5S standards throughout the day and at the end of shift, including emptying trash and recycling bins and cleaning.
- Perform regular inspection, clean, and maintain all tank line equipment.
- Required to wear proper protective equipment while performing job tasks to limit exposure to fumes and/or airborne particles.
- Follows paperwork flow, QA and Shop Floor policies and procedures
- Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
Shift differential pay for afternoon shifts.
This position will be for daytime schedule: 1st shift 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Preferred experience of one-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL
Ability to observe details in order to accomplish tasks thoroughly and accurately.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to understand various measurement systems and how to convert between them.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to look up appropriate tables and charts for necessary time/temperature.
