The Quality Inspector reviews and performs various quality inspections of aluminum parts and painted assemblies.
Reports to: Quality Director
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Attention to detail is critical for this position
- Proficient at communication with other team members.
- Ability to follow instructions with minimal oversight. Complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
- Able to follow Quality Procedures, Shop Floor Procedures, work instruction, process flow.
- Accurately document inspection data on required documents and logs.
- Assists with upholding department 5S standards. Maintain housekeeping standards.
- Maintains neat, legible handwriting
- Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance. Flexibility with schedule.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Preferred experience of three to six months in quality related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Quality Inspection experience is a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.
ATTENTION TO DETAIL
- Ability to observe details in order to accomplish tasks thoroughly and accurately.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions.
