The Director of Performance Strategy & Operations will lead a team focused on delivering world-class performance to StackAdapt’s customer base. You will create a center of excellence which executes a high volume of campaigns and develops and implements industry-leading trading and optimization tactics. You will serve as a thought-leader in the domain of campaign optimization across a wide variety of channels and marketing objectives, providing consultation externally to clients and internally to Sales, Account Management, Product, and Marketing. 


Success in this role will require deep platform expertise, a passion for operations, and the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences and stakeholders. Reporting to the Vice President of Client Services, you will be responsible for delivering industry-leading campaign execution and optimization strategies to StackAdapt’s global customer base. In addition, you will partner with Product and Marketing to scalably deliver effective solutions to StackAdapt’s self-serve customer base.


The ideal candidate for this role is highly data-driven, customer-obsessed, and passionate about leading operations teams. They will create industry-leading measurement and optimization strategies, drive revenue growth, increase operating efficiency, and demonstrate thought-leadership inside and outside the company. Success in this role will require adaptability, creative problem-solving, and a growth mindset.


StackAdapt is a Remote First company. We are open to candidates located anywhere in the United States or Canada for this position.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Lead, develop, and inspire a team to execute a high volume of programmatic advertising campaigns, leveraging industry-leading measurement and optimization best practices
  • Consult with Sales and Client Services to create durable growth strategies that deliver on the client’s goals and objectives
  • Develop trading and optimization best practices, including training collateral and internal resources; define the future of the trading discipline for the company and programmatic ecosystem
  • Partner with Product to prioritize features and enhancements that  improve the platform and maximize results for customers
  • Lead process improvements that increase customer retention and increase efficiency and speed within the team
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing among team members and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Track and analyze metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of team processes and identify areas for improvement


What you’ll bring to the table:
  • 8 years of leadership experience in client-facing roles focused on campaign management, trading, optimization or analytics
  • A natural leader and motivator of people with a collaborative, remote team approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record working across organizational boundaries to get things done
  • Demonstrated ability to bring teams together to solve complex problems
  • Compelling ability to tell stories from data
  • Proven analytical abilities demonstrated through academic achievement or work experience
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Energized by problem-solving under pressure
  • Insatiable curiosity for how things work and a passion for continuous improvement; Six Sigma or Lean experience is a plus
  • Media experience, including programmatic trading experience is highly preferred
  • Vendor management experience is a plus
