Job Summary: We are seeking a Master Automotive Technician with significant experience to join our skilled team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of automotive issues. You will play a critical role in maintaining the high standards of service our customers have come to expect. Your expertise will not only enhance our operations but also help mentor and train our less experienced technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advanced Diagnostics and Repair: Utilize your extensive experience to diagnose complex automotive issues across various systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and more. Implement effective repair solutions to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to junior technicians, sharing your knowledge and best practices to enhance their skills and contribute to their professional growth.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all repairs meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Conduct thorough inspections and tests to confirm that vehicles are in optimal condition before returning them to customers.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies, tools, and industry trends. Participate in ongoing training to further develop your expertise and adapt to evolving vehicle systems.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, parts used, and services performed, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with service advisors and other team members to ensure efficient workflow, timely service delivery, and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance, with a strong emphasis on advanced diagnostics and complex repairs.
- Certifications: ASE Master Technician certification required; additional certifications (e.g., manufacturer-specific certifications) are a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and software, as well as a deep understanding of various vehicle systems and technologies.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
- Work Ethic: A self-motivated and detail-oriented approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service.
- Valid License: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
- NY State inspection license
- Own Tools.
