Position: Reading Teacher
Location: Stacy Middle School
Schedule:2025-2026 School Year
Salary:Per Teachers’ Contract
To Start: August 28, 2025 (two mentoring days prior to start date, 8/19-8/20)
Qualifications:
●Massachusetts Department of Education Teacher Licensure: Reading, All Levels
●Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) Endorsement required
●Bilingual Preferred
Responsibilities:
●Implement the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks for Language Arts and Literacy (Grades 6–8)
●Implement instructional strategies that address various learning styles while maintaining high academic standards
●Utilize multiple forms of assessment data (formative, summative, diagnostic, and standardized) to guide instructional planning and delivery
●Create learning environments where students' cultural knowledge and experiences are recognized as valuable assets
●Support English Learners (ELs), Former Limited English Proficient (FLEP) and students with disabilities through evidence-based instructional strategies and collaboration with colleagues
●Embrace blended learning approaches that combine traditional instruction with digital experiences
●Integrate social-emotional learning strategies to support student well-being and academic success
●Demonstrate a commitment to equity through culturally responsive teaching that affirms the identities and experiences of all students
●Actively engage in professional learning to analyze student data, share best practices, and support school-wide goals.
●Contribute to school-wide literacy initiatives and curriculum development by actively engaging in professional learning opportunities
●Regular communication with families regarding student progress
●Perform standard duties as required by administration
