Social Studies Teacher - Middle School

Position: Social Studies Teacher Location: Stacy Middle School Schedule:2025-2026 School Year Salary: Per Teachers Contract To Start: August 25, 2025 (plus 2 days of mentoring prior to start date) Qualifications: ●Valid Massachusetts Department of Education Teacher License – Certified in Social Studies, Grades 5–8 ●Highly Qualified in Social Studies content area ●SEI Endorsement (Sheltered English Immersion) – Required ●Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners ●Experience working with LEP/FLEP students ●Strong classroom management and student engagement skills ●Excellent technology skills to support instruction ●Respect for and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion ●Prior experience teaching at the middle school level preferred ●Bilingual or multilingual candidates encouraged to apply Responsibilities: ●Build strong, positive relationships with middle school learners ●Deliver rigorous and engaging instruction aligned to the Massachusetts History and Social Science Curriculum Frameworks (including American History, Geography, Ancient Civilizations, and World Studies) ●Design and implement a variety of instructional strategies and learning experiences to inspire, motivate, and challenge all students ●Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary initiatives and team-based planning ●Support the academic and social development of students by participating actively in the life of the school ●Engage in ongoing professional growth through self-reflection and collaboration ●Contribute to a positive school climate and culture by promoting school spirit and fostering student success
