As a Project Buyer, you will be responsible for leading the procurement process including identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing the purchasing process from start to finish. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key suppliers to ensure they are meeting the needs of the organization.

As a Project Buyer, you will be responsible for leading the procurement process including identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing the purchasing process from start to finish. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key suppliers to ensure they are meeting the needs of the organization.
Key Activities
- Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers (pricing, delivery terms, contracts)
- Collaborate, resolve problems, and provide procurement consultation with other teams in the organization (e.g. Engineering, Project Management, etc.)
- Participate in pooling negotiations, as assigned, and coordinate pooling activities with other teams
- Support Head of Procurement and other Buyers
- Actively manage supplier and conduct supplier reviews
- Purchase components within assigned commodity group
- Support order management and/or NCR team with claims and collection of liquidated damages
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or similar field
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Industrial or Manufacturing purchasing; rail is preferred
- Fluent English is required (German is a plus)
- Resilient and independent personality
- Strong organizational skills and efficient working methods
- Experienced with Microsoft Office and ERP system (preferable Infor COM)
