As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and ensuring the highest standards of our Quality Management System (QMS). This role is essential for ensuring our internal quality processes, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiencies align with industry standards and best practices.
You will be responsible for leading efforts to maintain, audit, and enhance Stadler’s QMS framework, ensuring seamless integration with operational activities across the organization. You will drive initiatives that foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Activities
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with required industry standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 22163)
  • Manage the internal audit program by conducting regular audits
  • Prepare and support external audits (customer and certification audits)
  • Provide recommendations and action plans for any audit-related corrective actions
  • Act as the primary point of contact for certification bodies and external auditors
  • Maintain and improve document control processes ensuring all quality-related documentation is up to date, accessible, and compliant with relevant standards.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support for departments across the organization
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Environment and Safety, or similar
  • 5 years of experience in quality management systems, preferably in manufacturing
  • 3 years of leadership experience managing and developing teams in quality management or other related function
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.) and regulatory requirements relevant to rail or transportation industries
  • Strong experience leading internal audits and managing certification processes
  • Certified Quality Auditor is a plus!
  • Proven track record of implementing and managing QMS across large, complex organizations
  • Proficiency in ERP and quality management software
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and lead by example
  • Must be fluent in English both written and verbal; German is a plus
