Your tasks
As a Passenger Information Systems Engineer, you will be a viable member of a team focused on various passenger information (infotainment), communication, and software engineering activities in all project phases from the concept/design through to the commissioning, validation, and warranty phase.
Key Activities
- System integration of communication and information systems in Stadler vehicles taking into account the requirements of the customer, standards, and law
- Preparation of engineering / production documents such as technical specifications, electrical diagrams, and system drawings
- Support of Stadler production, commissioning and type tests
- Responsible for the control of specification-conform implementation on the part of the system supplier with regard to hardware, software and ordered services
- Supervision and participation in software tests of the suppliers as well as ensuring the delivery in accordance with contract and schedule
- Collaboration with customers, suppliers and approval bodies in an international environment
- Technical addition to the specialist group in the areas of software architecture, communication technology, industrial electronics development or testing
- Further development of project-independent and market-driven solution modules in in cooperation with the electrical engineering, design and product management
Qualifications
Your profile Qualifications
- Completed university degree in electrical, software engineering or information technology or comparable experience-based knowledge
- Experience in project management is advantageous
- 3-6 years of experience in the field of networked communication systems in the transport sector or in the development of industrial electronics
- High technical affinity and interest to deal with different technologies and IT systems
- Very good communicator to people with different technical backgrounds, inside and outside the company, on all levels
- Strong team spirit
- Able to be flexible with travel and work hours
