What are the responsibilities and job description for the RESIDENTIAL COORDINATOR - RESIDENTIAL LIFE position at Staff and Faculty?
Work with the Office of Residential Life and the Office of Extended Studies to provide direct supervision and leadership for the residential and social aspects of 2 summer pre-college programs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work alongside a team of 6 or more Resident Assistants to design, order supplies, and execute social activities for participants
- Schedule duty time, on call, and programmatic responsibilities for Resident Assistants
- Provide direction to Resident Assistants regarding supervising the movement of pre-college participants across campus, maintaining an orderly atmosphere in the residential halls, responding to emergency situations, and enforcing policies and procedures to support the safety and well-being of precollege students
- Intervene and provide constructive feedback to Resident Assistants who may not be completing job duties as assigned
- Be knowledgeable regarding the Ithaca College Minor Protection Policy and take steps necessary to ensure compliance with the policy
- Manage and/or supervise distribution of medications to participants as authorized by Hammond Health Center, parents, or legal guardians
- Transport and/or accompany a minor to the hospital or urgent care in the case of an emergency.
- Coordinate with the Ithaca College Residence Director and/or Director, Office of Extended Studies on issues related to the residential or social aspects of the pre-college programs
This is a full-time, residential, live-in position from June 16, 2025 to July 28, 2025.
Ithaca College's Summer College Programs Residential Coordinator will gain:
