Summary
Reporting to TPR’s National Director of Quality, the Manager of Quality for Tenet Physician Resources (TPR) will serve as resource to support Quality Improvement initiatives within assigned market medical office locations owned and / or operated by Tenet Healthsystem Medical, Inc (“Tenet”). This individual will promote healthcare outcomes in accordance with the polices, procedures, mission and vision of TPR. Provides training and education to the physicians and staff to promote evidence based medicine, regulatory agency compliance, and ensure quality care to minimize patient harm.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources.
- Adheres to the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement.
- Demonstrates support for the Tenet Corporate Compliance Program by being knowledgeable of compliance responsibilities as expressed in the Code of Conduct; adhering to federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures policies that affect his/her specific job functions/responsibilities; and reporting compliance issues/concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Develops, coordinates and implements quality improvement programs.
- Manages clinical standardization and utilization process, review and improvement efforts.
- Works with TPR and regional leadership tracking quality outcome and quality measures as requested.
- Works with TPR leadership and practices to improve the patient experience.
- Works with TPR leadership to drive adoption of clinical standards in ambulatory practices.
- Oversees systems for collection, monitoring and reporting of data collected for quality improvement measures, health plan and regulatory agency compliance.
- Conducts data analysis relating to quality improvement to ensure that care provided meets or exceeds standards.
- Participate in workgroups, committees or councils as requested.
Education: High school diploma/GED required with completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program. Other health disciplines will be considered. RN preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years healthcare experience preferably in an ambulatory setting. Recent experience with ambulatory quality improvement preferred.
