Job Description : As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of construction projects. Your leadership, project management skills, and industry expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the successful execution of projects, meeting client expectations, and delivering high-quality results. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve project goals on time and within budget.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage construction projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to develop project plans, specifications, and budgets.
  • Oversee the procurement process, including soliciting bids, evaluating proposals, and negotiating contracts.
  • Monitor project progress, track expenses, and prepare and manage project budgets.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure work is carried out according to plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Review and approve project schedules, work plans, and construction documents.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to project teams, including subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed about project status, milestones, and any changes or issues that may arise.
  • Address and resolve project-related problems and conflicts, identifying solutions and mitigating risks.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and project correspondence.
  • Conduct regular project meetings to review progress, address challenges, and foster effective communication among team members.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and new construction technologies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and implement process enhancements to optimize project management practices.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in commercial construction.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from start to finish.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
  • Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and safety practices.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Primavera P6, Procore, or Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to address project challenges and make timely, informed decisions.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and work in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
