Job Description
Heavy Equipment Mechanic The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the fleet equipment. Equipment includes but is not limited to wheel loaders, excavators, skid steers, forklifts, man lifts, and grinders. The heavy equipment mechanic demonstrates responsible work practices with safety as the number one goal. Performs appropriate preventive maintenance on equipment as well as necessary repairs to keep machines up and running daily.
Reports To Operations Manager
Responsibilities
- Must be able to perform services, diagnostics, part replacement
- Must have own tools
- Maintains good records
- Knows how to use / willing to learn computer tracking software
- Maintains a clean work environment
- Able to read electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic schematics
- Identify problems and come up with viable solutions
- Has knowledge of Caterpillar, Komatsu, John Deere parts and systems
- Work in a team environment
- Must have clean driver's license
- Full time position with overtime opportunities
