Position Overview:
The Accountant will manage financial operations, oversee subcontractor billing, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of construction accounting practices and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage subcontractor billing, including reviewing invoices and payment applications.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, lien waivers, and construction industry regulations.
- Prepare financial statements, budgets, and reports for management.
- Work closely with project managers to track job costs and profitability.
- Handle accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and reconciliations.
- Assist with audits, tax filings, and financial compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 3 years of accounting experience in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in subcontractor billing and contract compliance.
- Experience with construction accounting software SAGE 300 Highly desired
- Strong EXCEL skills (vlookup, pivot tables)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
