Position Summary
The Retail Inventory Accountant Supervisor will oversee and manage the inventory accounting process, ensuring accurate financial reporting and leading month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), proficiency in QuickBooks, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting or a related field. This role will involve working independently and directly handling all related accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management :
Monitor and reconcile inventory accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Lead and manage the month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate closing of inventory accounts.
Maintain and update inventory accounting policies and procedures.
Utilize QuickBooks for inventory accounting and financial reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in inventory accounting, preferably in a retail environment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
