Typical Duties:

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems, standards, and procedures to ensure the precision and reliability of products.
• Conduct routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products to meet compliance standards.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory and analytical equipment to ensure consistent performance.
• Document test procedures, including stability program testing and formulation studies, and prepare reports detailing abnormalities and corrective actions.
• Recommend and implement corrective actions to meet quality specifications and update standard operating procedures as needed.
• Provide technical support to quality assurance and engineering teams by performing inspections throughout various stages of production.

Job Examples:

• Read and interpret complex blueprints and specifications, including vendor and customer requirements, using fractions, decimals, and trigonometry to determine dimensions.
• Utilize mechanical and electrical measuring tools, such as calipers, micrometers, snap gauges, and electronic instruments, ensuring accurate calibration.
• Perform critical first-piece inspections and authorize the initiation of production runs.
• Develop alternative methods to maintain uniform quality, including identifying and addressing process variables.
• Sort materials and identify defects for repair to ensure production consistency.
• Conduct inspections requiring precise measurement and judgment to maintain tight tolerances.

Qualifications and Skills

• 1 years of relevant work experience with foundational job skills and knowledge.
• High school diploma or equivalent; related vocational training is a plus.
• Ability to follow established procedures, policies, and processes to complete tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical documents and using inspection tools to maintain high-quality standards.
