Job Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Foreman / Shop Supervisor with extensive experience in leading a machine shop. This position requires a professional with 10 years of machining experience, including at least 5 years as a CNC machinist. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Hurco and Mazak machines, experience with CNC lathe and mill operations, and proficiency in manual lathes. The CNC Foreman / Shop Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality control, training junior staff, and maintaining customer relations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise and lead daily operations of the machine shop.
- Operate CNC Milling and Machining equipment 20-30% of the time.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior machinists.
- Ensure high-quality control of all machine work.
- Communicate with customers and address their needs, providing updates and ensuring satisfaction.
- Answer emails and customer inquiries within 4 hours.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical instructions.
- Maintain an organized and efficient shop environment.
- Manage workflow and production schedules to meet deadlines.
- Use computer systems for job tracking, scheduling, and reporting.
- Occasional involvement in welding operations is a plus.
Qualifications :
5 years working on CNC lathes and mills.
