What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at Staff Perm?
As a Material Handler, you will support our inventory activities including the cycle count program, kitting, NCR processing, POU transfers, Production Order receiving, and other warehousing operations. Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
LOCATION: North Billerica, MA 01862
POSITION: Contract
PAYRATE: $20.00 hour

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Packages and prepares products and merchandise for final shipment and posts weights and shipping charges.
- Checks goods received and for distribution against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of goods and rejects unsatisfactory items.
- Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.
- Reviews customer orders, examines, stocks and distributes merchandise, products and materials in inventory warehouses, distribution centers or manufacturing lines.
- Point of use inventory transfers, incoming parts stocking
- Material transfers\transactions
- PO Kitting and receiving
- Pick materials as required and perform associated transactions
- Perform cycle counts of finished goods and raw materials inventory
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment, and handle multiple tasks
- Ability to work as part of a team and with minimal supervision.
- A positive attitude
- Excellent computer skills. Comfortable with Excel and MS Office
- Able to lift up to a 20lb box
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in electronics manufacturing
- Prior experience working within an ERP system as asset.
- Prior inventory or shipping & receiving experience an asset.
