What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping Manager position at STAFF PRO, LLC?
The Housekeeping Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and developing of the overall operation of the housekeeping department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and guidelines along with assuring the highest degree of quality guest care is maintained at all times. Responsible for staffing, scheduling, training and developing hourly staff.
Responsibilities:
- Assigns duties to members of staff
- Manages the housekeeping team including mentoring, coaching, counseling and training.
- Ensures that each member of the housekeeping team understands the organization’s cleaning procedure.
- Conducts regular inspections of the hotel to ensure adherence to cleanliness and maintenance standards.
- Listens to customers’ complaints and ensure that the complaints are addressed efficiently and effectively
- Stand-in for any member of staff that is unavailable to carry out their duties in order to prevent any unfilled gap
- Responsible for ensuring dirty laundries are timelessly and appropriately cleaned
- Orders supplies for the housekeeping department
- Ensures efficient use of departmental resources
- Directs all housekeeping activities
- Maintains good relationship with customers and/or clients and suppliers of housekeeping items
- Maintains good relationship with managers of other units in the organization.
Requirements:
- Must be flexible with working nights, weekends, and holidays
- Advanced knowledge of Housekeeping process and procedures
- Strong written, verbal, presentation & persuasion/motivation skills required.
- Excellent time and workload management skill, ability to prioritize, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task and meeting established deadlines.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and to lift heavy objects up to 30 lbs.
- Bilingual English – Spanish is a plus.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
