What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Nursing Assistant position at Staff Today?
EVE / NOC flex schedule. Need someone that is comfortable adjusting schedule to staffing needs. Weekends Required. 32 - 40hrs/wk
" Provides for activities of daily living to include, but not limited to: Ambulation and positioning of residents, resident's personal hygiene needs (assistance with eating, dressing, restorative care, etc), and any other specific needs of the resident that are in the care plan or are requested.
" Monitors vital signs and other testing/specimen collection as needed.
" Reports all observations/changes of a resident's condition to a nurse as soon as practical.
" Utilizes gait belt for resident transfers and ambulation requiring more that stand" by assist, unless exception noted resident individualized care plan.
" Documents all nursing care being provided to ensure that the care plan is being followed. Ensure proper communication to appropriate parties. Ensures that the resident is comfortable and all needs and requests are being met.
" Promptly answers residents call lights and requests.
" Instills confidence in the resident by performing duties in a competent and caring manner.
" Maintains strong working relationships with other staff members throughout the facility.
" Maintains confidentiality of all resident and company information.
" Performs assigned tasks in accordance with acceptable standards of practice as defined by state regulations.
" Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
" Perform other duties that may be assigned.
Experience Requirement
" Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of this state.
Education Requirement
" Must possess, as a minimum, a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
" Must have successfully completed a State approved Nursing Assistant course
Physical and Sensory Requirements
" Must be able to cope with the mental, emotional and physical stress of the position.
" Must successfully pass a Criminal History check in accordance with the laws of this state.
" Must successfully pass a drug screen and/or physical examination if requested
