Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a Budget Analyst to work at a facility in New York, New York. These are registry positions with our company.
Pay Rate : $30 / hour
Shift details :
- 9am-5pm / 35 hrs per week
The duties of this position will encompass the following activities :
Coordinate State and City capital-related exercises and plans.Participate in preparing, reviewing, and reconciling projects for inclusion in the University's Capital Request.Conduct detailed analysis of requests for capital budget allocations for State and City projects undertaken by the University Capital Budget Office, which includes :review of project scopes of work, including funding change requests,
ensure project chart fields and financial codes are accurately assigned and consistently align with authorized budgets, maintaining compliance with financial guidelines and organizational policies.
quantitative and qualitative analysis of project costs,
and preparation of written reports with recommendations.
Enter budget funds and coding into Enterprise Resource Planning systems, including Oracle PeopleSoft (including but limited to the State Financial System (SFS) and CUNYFirst application) and NYC's Financial Management System (FMS).Review and coordinate the submissions of capital projects to the State and City of New York.Analyze data and other documents to ensure completeness and compliance with capital eligibility standards.Prepare analytical reports and briefings on related programmatic and budgetary issues.Use the SFS and FMS systems to review funding requests, process budget modifications, and make changes to align the capital plan to the projects'budgets.Work with the Department of Design Construction and Management (DDCM), colleges, professional schools, and other CUNY departments to analyze and prioritize capital budget needs for inclusion in the university's capital request, the city's Capital Commitment, financial plans, and any other capital publications as needed.Work collaboratively with University community members and other agencies on financial plans, policy initiatives, and other budget-related matters as necessary.Preferred Skills
QUALIFICATIONS : bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and at least 2 years of experience.Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills.Ability to use Excel formulas and pivot tables to analyze large data sets.Ability to effectively format spreadsheets for presentation and review.Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Resourceful problem-solver who proactively seeks out answers to complex questions.Benefits :
