MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Rate: $52 / hour
Required –Minimum one year of direct aging casework experience.
Three years of professional experience in a human services program providing social services to clients and a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
A report of criminal history from the State Police and/or FBI must contain no information.
DUTIES
Perform compliance functions by reviewing overdue protective services case investigations performed by the Commonwealth's 52 Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs). This involves:
Respond, either verbally or in writing, to select inquiries from intra and inter-departmental units, outside entities and family/applicants.
Review and recommend modifications to program manuals and materials based on policy revisions. Develop and update forms and files.
Coordinate the collection of Data to prepare reports. Assist in tracking information and reviewing and analyzing reports for the supervisor and others when needed.
May be involved in incident reviews, closing incidents, reports and investigations.
May be involved in fair hearing preparation.
Participate in trainings, meetings, and conferences on behalf of the Bureau as assigned.
Other related duties as required.

Successfully complete training as directed by the PA Department of Aging to enhance overall job performance.

Perform other related work as directed.

- Contacting parties to the investigation (e.G., care providers, family members, etc.) to confirm that investigatory work has been completed and complaints have been resolved.
- Ensuring that investigations were completed in accordance with the provisions of protective services legislation, applicable regulations, operating policy and procedures of the OAPSA, and legal and statutory time frames.
- Utilizing the professional services of agency-based medical professionals to assist with case-related assessments, when necessary.
- Identifying any potential risks or unmet needs and referring cases back to the AAA for corrective action or additional investigation.
- Ensuring that case records are ultimately closed and all that all documentary records (e.G., interviews, medical and financial documents, etc.) are filed appropriately in the PA Department of Aging's standardized documentation system.
