Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Specialist to join their team and, if one has experience using iSolved can be remote, otherwise it would be hybrid. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for clients, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience with payroll processing, a strong understanding of payroll software, and a keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly payroll for a variety of clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Review and verify employee hours, deductions, benefits, and other payroll-related data.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee questions regarding pay, deductions, and benefits.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports, including tax filings, garnishments, and benefits contributions.
- Assist with year-end payroll reporting, including W-2 and 1099 preparation.
- Maintain confidential employee payroll records in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure accurate and up-to-date payroll data.
- Stay informed of changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, offering timely support and resolving payroll-related inquiries.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a multi-state environment.
- Strong knowledge of ISolved
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with iSolved software.
- FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) or CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) preferred, but not required.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
