ERP Financial Systems Officer

StaffBuffalo is seeking an ERP Financial Systems Officer to oversee and maintain all financial technology applications in the Department of Audit and Control. The salary for this position ranges from $73,500 to $86,000 depending on experience , with an additional benefits package valued at $15,000 to $20,000 per year, making the total net compensation $88,500 to $106,000 annually.
As the ERP Financial Systems Officer, you will be responsible for the administration and optimization of ERP processes and systems, providing technical support across the city, and helping streamline financial reporting and internal audit operations. This role involves working closely with various departments and external service providers to improve system functionality, address issues, and implement best practices.
This is an on-site, in-person position based in Buffalo, New York.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and administer ERP financial systems, ensuring data integrity and system optimization.
- Work closely with the Department of Management Information Systems (MIS) and users to analyze, communicate, and implement changes to financial reporting systems and processes.
- Provide enterprise-wide support for financial reporting, performance reporting, and Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) requests.
- Develop and maintain system data entry standards and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Provide technical support for critical financial systems, troubleshooting issues and coordinating additional support as needed.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external fiscal service providers to optimize systems and technology solutions.
- Assist in evaluating new systems, technologies, and processes to improve financial operations and reporting.
- Participate in meetings, provide reports, and perform special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2 years of full-time experience in administering accounting or auditing activities within an ERP system environment.
- Strong experience in enterprise-wide information system administration and process management.
- Ability to work independently and solve complex problems.
- Knowledge of governmental accounting and auditing principles, as well as electronic business processes like accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.

- Must live in the City of Buffalo or be willing to relocate to the city within 6 months of accepting the role.
