Responsibilities
- Install and maintain automated cutting systems and material handling equipment at customer sites across the U.S. and internationally.
- Travel 70-90% of the time, typically leaving on Monday and returning on Friday, with most weekends spent at home.
- Utilize strong mechanical and electrical abilities to assemble, troubleshoot, and service complex cutting systems.
- Train customer operators on maintenance procedures and the software used to run the equipment.
- Work closely with customers to ensure their expectations are met, troubleshooting issues through phone or video as needed.
- Accurately document installation processes, costs, and service reports, while maintaining strong communication with internal teams.
- Follow written procedures for equipment startups and ensure all installations meet the highest standards of quality.
- Background in Auto Mechanics, HVAC, Military, and/or Facility Technicians have valuable transferable skills for this role
- Proven mechanical and electrical skills
- 3 years in a relevant technical field, or 5 years in service-related roles involving travel.
- Proficiency with hand tools, low voltage systems, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience working with service orders and interacting face-to-face with customers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows.
- Must be physically capable of performing the physical demands of the role.
- Travel to exciting and exotic locations such as ski mountains in Sweden, beaches in Hawaii
- Work with cutting-edge companies that are making innovative products, like armor vests and helicopter parts.
- Be an intricate part of unique industries and projects, gaining pride from working on one-of-a-kind installations for clients doing incredible things worldwide.
