JOB DESCRIPTION:
OVERVIEW:
· We are hiring a Field Service Technician to join our team: As a Field Service Technician, you will help clients install, repair and maintain equipment.
· You will be part of the service department, working closely with the sales team to meet customer needs.
· The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, but is also organized, structured, and customer-focused.
· This is an entry-level role perfect for someone with an electromechanical education looking to grow their career.
· In this role, it is required that someone be self-motivated, a great learner, and one who takes initiative and can work without constant supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Diagnose errors or technical problems on in-house machines and determine proper solutions.
· Troubleshoot and perform repairs and modifications on the mechanical, electrical, or software aspects of equipment at customer sites.
· Assist with start-up, checkout, installation and testing of new equipment.
· Advise customers on equipment use and best practices.
· Build strong customer relationships while ensuring exceptional service.
· Learn a lot about the industry!
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
· Preferred Education: Mechanical or Trade School background.
· Technical Skills: Ability to repair and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical machines (training provided).
· Reading & Comprehension: Ability to read and understand equipment manuals.
· Tools & Equipment: Experience using various mechanical, electrical and testing tools.
· Experience: Prior work with machine tool repairs (or similar) is a plus.
· Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 75 pounds.
· Must pass a basic mechanical and electrical assessment.
