What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Agent / Buyer position at Staffed4U?
Our client is currently seeking a Purchasing Agent/Buyer for new and existing work.
Purchasing Agent/Buyer
Full-Time; Wages Commensurate with experience
Responsibilities include:

Read and interpreting customer part prints for Bill of Material requirements

Look at demand using Syteline ERP System and order components and processes needed to support the customer build cycle

Manage supplier relationships using a supplier score card which includes quality and delivery measurements

Work with supplier quality to validate additions to the supplier base

Work with suppliers to negotiate pricing with a long-term strategic business outlook

Work with suppliers to resolve quality and delivery concerns

Work with finance to negotiate supplier payment terms

Work with engineering/launch with timelines for new product launch

Work with quality department to measure the “cost of poor quality” relating to purchased parts and outside processes

Support and promote safe practices and environmental commitments in alignment with company commitments, policies and compliance requirements.
Required Education/Experience
-
Associates degree preferred.

Three years of experience with Syteline or other ERP Systems preferred.
