We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Emergency Room at a Level I Trauma Center. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments of patients presenting in the emergency room.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures and laboratory tests as needed to assist in diagnosis and treatment.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective discharge planning for patients.
- Provide care for pediatric patients, ensuring their unique needs are met during emergency interventions.
- Assist in the operating room (OR) when necessary, supporting surgical teams with patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner or other electronic health record systems to ensure continuity of care.
Experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in an Emergency Room setting is preferred, particularly within a Level I Trauma Center.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and protocols is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Experience with pediatric care is a plus, as well as proficiency in discharge planning processes.
