Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, support medical staff, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient health status, including vital signs and symptoms.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health management.
- Assist in case management activities to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in infection control measures and protocols for infectious disease care.
- Utilize electronic health record systems, including Cerner, for documentation and patient tracking.
- Support surgical teams in the operating room (OR) as needed.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
- Experience with medical documentation practices.
- Familiarity with Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments is preferred.
- Background in critical care transport is a plus.
- Previous experience in case management or working within healthcare systems is advantageous.
