We are seeking a Medical Equipment Inspector to join our team in a warehouse environment. As a Medical Equipment Inspector, you will work with medical equipment customers, ensuring proper cleaning, inspection, maintenance, and shipping of devices. This position requires physical activity, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strict adherence to safety protocols.
Medical Equipment Inspector Shift:
- Monday – Friday
- 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Medical Equipment Inspector Starting Pay:
- $21.05 hour for candidates
- Opportunity for higher pay as your Level increases.
Medical Equipment Inspector Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain medical equipment per customer requirements.
- Perform basic function testing on medical equipment, including system power-ups.
- Ensure medical equipment needing repairs is tagged appropriately and placed in the correct area.
- Provide updates to the Inventory Management System and coordinate with clients on repair schedules.
- Facilitate inventory counts and ensure cycle counts are accurate.
- Meet shipping deadlines and follow established shipping procedures.
- Withstand physical movements such as bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate safety gear.
- Some travel may be required as needed.
Medical Equipment Inspector Qualifications:
- Must have or be willing to obtain forklift certification.
- Ability to push up to 450 pounds up ramps and lift up to 40 pounds regularly.
- Up-to-date immunization for Hepatitis B or signed declination form.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to obtain TSA certification.
Medical Equipment Inspector Skills Required:
- Fluent in English with strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to quickly learn new software systems.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Medical Equipment Inspector Education requirements:
- Level 1: High school diploma or GED, with technical certification as a plus.
- 6 months to 1 year of applicable experience; mechanical, education, or medical training is a plus.
