2nd & 3rd Shift Production Supervisor Position Available in Piscataway NJ!!!
We are #hiring! Our client company located in the Piscataway NJ area has openings for 2nd and 3rd Shift Production Supervisors. As a Production Supervisor you will oversee the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring high efficiency, product quality, and compliance with all safety regulations.
Shifts & Pay:
Production Supervisor – 2nd Shift Sunday-Thursday 3:00pm-12:30am
Production Supervisor – 3rd Shift Sunday – Thursday 11:00pm – 7:30am
Hourly Pay $20-$25 depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate production activities during the shift
• Monitor production metrics and adjust operations to meet goals.
• Ensure proper training and development of staff to maintain a high-performing team.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and food safety standards.
• Assist in resolving production-related issues quickly and efficiently.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize workflows and resolve any issues.
• Maintain accurate production records and inventory logs.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervision and Leadership:
o Lead a team of production workers, operators, and sometimes other supervisors.
o Ensure workers are properly trained and following safety protocols.
o Motivate and coach the team to achieve productivity and quality targets.
2. Production Management:
o Oversee the production process, making sure that the product is produced on time and meets the required specifications.
o Coordinate with other departments (e.g., logistics, quality control, maintenance) to ensure smooth production flow.
o Monitor the performance of the production line and identify areas for improvement.
3. Problem-Solving:
o Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise on the production line, such as equipment malfunctions or production delays.
o Implement solutions to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and minimize waste.
4. Quality Control:
o Ensure that the products produced meet quality standards.
o Perform inspections and audits of the production line, taking corrective actions when necessary.
5. Safety Compliance:
o Ensure the production line adheres to safety regulations and that workers follow safety guidelines.
o Maintain a clean and organized work environment to prevent accidents.
6. Reporting and Documentation:
o Keep records of production performance, including output, downtime, and any issues.
o Provide reports to higher management on production metrics and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of experience in food manufacturing, with some leadership experience.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and other food safety standards.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage teams, handle multiple tasks, and work under pressure.
• Experience working on 2nd shift, including flexibility to work weekends and overtime.
