Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Job Description: We are looking for a Certified Forklift Driver to join our team at a food manufacturing facility located in Swedesboro, NJ. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with hours starting from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, transitioning to 12-hour shifts (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM) as the role progresses. The facility operates in a cold and damp environment with temperatures ranging from 34-36°F, so candidates must be comfortable working in these conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a forklift to move materials, products, and other goods throughout the facility.
- Load and unload trucks, and transport materials within storage areas.
- Ensure the accurate and efficient movement of inventory, raw materials, and finished products.
- Perform routine inspections and minor maintenance on the forklift.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the work environment.
- Follow all safety and operational guidelines to maintain a safe workspace.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift certification.
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility or similar environment is preferred.
- Comfortable working in cold conditions (34-38°F) for extended periods.
- Physical ability to stand for long hours and lift at least 50 lbs.
- Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
