Material Handler
A Material Handler is responsible for various tasks related to the movement and management of materials within a warehouse or production environment.
Hours: Monday- Thursday 4/10 hr; Friday OT or Holiday schedule
2nd shift: 5pm-3:30am
Pay Rate: $20.00
Location: Bloomingdale, IL
Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Material Handler
Storing and Moving Materials: Handling, moving, and storing hazardous or non-hazardous materials safely.
Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels, placing incoming orders on shelves, and communicating any shortages.
Loading and Unloading: Receiving, sorting, and distributing materials and products efficiently, often using equipment like forklifts.
Documentation: Completing required paperwork accurately and legibly.
Operate forklift: stand up, sit down, cherry picker, swing truck
Required Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Warehouse experience plus
· Inventory Control
· Experience with forklift, stand up, sit down, cherry picker, swing truck
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
· Able to physically handle material in the warehouse and work with all warehouse equipment
· Must be capable of sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time
· Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis
· Must be able to use proper techniques to lift 25 pounds
