NOW HIRING!!! Maintenance Technician needed for leader in steel / aerospace products manufacturing company located in Tempe, AZ. We are seeking a strong Maintenance Mechanic candidate to repair and perform maintenance fixtures on various warehouse machinery. This position is a potential hire opportunity, payrate based on prior experience, education / or certification. All maintenance technicians are welcomed to apply. Company is seeking full-time, maintenance mechanics with at least 2 or more years of experienced preferred. Electrical background a plus.
Starting payrate : $32 per hour, experience required.
Schedule : Morning Hours
Job Summary - Maintenance Mechanic position requires professional level preventative machine mechanical repair experience. Repair and maintain equipment not limited to the following :
o Maintain preventative maintenance programs on all equipment.
o Maintain and update logs on all equipment.
o Oversee basic building and shop maintenance.
o Train, educate, and provide assistance general maintenance mechanics, as needed.
o Communicate effectively, professionally and courteously with others in and outside the work
group to solve problems and coordinate repairs in a timely manner to minimize machine
downtime.
o Communicate with supervisors, set-up people, and operators to solve problems and coordinate
repairs and timely return of machinery to production status.
o Team player that works with others to solve problems and helps others when assistance is
needed.
o Process paperwork for parts and supplies.
o Locate needed parts and equipment information from manuals, supplies, and manufacturers, in a
timely manner.
o Notify supervisor or lead immediately of problems, concerns, or questions.
o Follow specific instructions as communicated by supervisor or management.
o Sit on the Safety Committee.
o Comply with all Company policies such as attendance, safety rules, policies, etc.
o Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow all safety
procedures.
o Establish a preventative maintenance schedule on all machinery and equipment and maintain
records of maintenance actions.
o Perform other maintenance responsibilities and complete additional projects, ensuring safety.
QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS :
o High degree of self-direction to establish and carry out maintenance schedule.
o Works under minimal supervision.
o Able to change work priorities as needed.
o Exercises discretion and independent judgment.
o Must have knowledge of industrial maintenance.
o Must have own set of basic hand tools. Specialty tools are provided.
o Demonstrated knowledge of metal stamping and fabrication equipment preferred.
o Demonstrated knowledge of plumbing, piping and electricity.
o Demonstrated high level of mechanical aptitude.
o Experience performing all maintenance on and around building and work at extreme heights.
o Ability to read English as required for interpreting manuals and prints; and to speak and
understand sufficient English to communicate effectively with co-workers, vendors and suppliers.
o Able to research for best practice and outcome.
o Safety and quality minded.
o Self-motivated, takes initiative.
o Capable of working with minimal supervision.
o Able to climb stairs and ladders.
o May work in confined areas.
o Able and willing to wear all required personal protective equipment.
o Ability to be on feet 8-10 hours per day with walking throughout the day.
