Now Hiring!!! We are seeking Wiring workers for top lead switchgear and electrical products manufacturing company located near St. Charles, IL area. This is a temp to hire opportunity, detailed resume required. Candidates must have prior wiring/or electrical assembly experience to successfully wire panel boards related to low and medium voltage switchgear for the manufacture of products to satisfy customer orders.
Schedule/Payrate:
- Morning Schedule: 6am-2:30pm, still available
Hourly Payrate: $20.00
Skills and Requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position, other duties may be assigned:
- Electrical controls panel and Buss wiring
- Follow wiring diagrams and electrical schematics
- Install pre-wired panel into control box
- Terminate wiring based on schematics
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot
- Point to point wiring
- Read, and understand blueprints, schematic drawings to determine wiring layout
- Inspect parts to find defects and ensure quality
- Ensure proper protective equipment is worn at all times and tools or other equipment is used based on the task
- Regular in-person attendance is an essential function of this job
Responsibilities:
- Must have knowledge of electrical symbols and schematics
- Must be able to understand blueprints & drawings
- Must be able to use shop equipment and hand tools
- Perform basic math functions including an understanding of fractions and decimals
- Perform basic computer skills
- Must be a team player and have good attendance
- Must take direction, follow instruction and work with others with a positive attitude
- Operate power tools and hand tools to fabricate and assemble products
- Work on an assembly line to meet production goals
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with machinery
- Transport materials using forklifts within the warehouse
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a factory or manufacturing setting is preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with assembly line processes
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
- Experience operating forklifts is a plus
