Driver Helper

Staffing Network is seeking hard working Garbage Truck Driver Helpers to be a part of our team working for a large waste company in Cocoa, FL. The driver helper will essentially be assisting the route driver in collecting waste and/or recyclable materials.

Shifts: Monday - Friday 5:45AM- until finished with route. Might be requested on Saturdays as well for OT

Payrate: $15.00/Hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Work in accordance with all safety, OSHA requirements as well as all local, state and federal laws.

· Manually or mechanically load and empty residential and/or commercial containers into truck.

· Containers maybe staged curbside, dockside, carryout, or require pullout to complete service.

· Operate hoisting device to lift and empty bins or containers into truck hopper.

· Assists driver with all backing maneuvers while on route.

· Entry level experience

Requirements for Driver Helper:

· Successfully complete pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check, which will include previous employment check, and criminal history.

· Ability to work in fast paced, team environment.

· Required to use motor coordination with arm, hand, finger, and leg dexterity.

· Required to exert physical effort in handling objects more than 25 pounds frequently.

· Requires pushing, pulling, bending, twisting and lifting up to 70 lbs.

· Normal setting for this job is outdoors and/or riding in a video/GPS monitored vehicle.

· Will be exposed to a physical environment, which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements most of the workday.
