We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in completing construction projects by ensuring that all finishing tasks are executed to the highest standards. This position requires a strong understanding of various construction processes and the ability to operate heavy machinery effectively.
Payrate for Finishing Blade Operator: $20-$26/hour depending on experience
Shift/Hours for Finishing Blade Operator: 7AM to finish, weather permitting!
Duties
- Perform finishing tasks on construction sites, including but not limited to painting, drywall installation, and flooring.
- Operate heavy equipment such as dump trucks, loaders, and Caterpillar machinery to assist in site preparation and finishing work.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety standards.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality and compliance with project specifications.
- Assist in horizontal drilling and digging operations as needed during the finishing phase of construction projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Finished Blade Operator.
· Understand grades, slopes, finishing, processing dirt lifts, compaction requirements, testing requirements and remediation requirements.
· Experience with a John Deere 772G and 772GP maintainer with antlers and finger controls.
- Have knowledge of Smart Grade or Trimble GPS applications for grades or be able to learn and work via string line, stakes and plans.
- Knowledge of construction site protocols and safety regulations.
- Ability to build and finish various structures with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with tanker operations may be beneficial for specific project requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with other crew members and supervisors.
