What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Laborer position at Staffing Network?
Staffing Network is seeking hard working General Laborers to be a part of our team working for a large waste and recycling company in Blountville, TN. The General Laborer performs the task around a landfill performing different general labor duties suck as picking up loose litter, painting, power washing, filling in holes, ect. and other duties as assigned.
Hours: 8am-4pm
Pay Rate: $17.50hr
Must have steel toe boots
Must be able to start tomorrow
Job Duties for General Laborer:
· Manually picks up windblown paper at and around landfill
· Carries a large plastic trash bag and walks along the fenced border of the landfill, as well as on exterior land adjacent to the public property
· Pulls paper from the fence and lifts loose paper from the ground, depositing refuse in bag until full
· Uses hand tools such as shovels and picks to pick up litter
· Moving materials
· Painting and sanding
· Power washing
· Digging and refilling holes
Requirements:
· Must be able to work outside in all weather elements
· Must be able to lift up to 40lbs
· Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, and walk for long periods of time OUTSIDE
