Staffing Network is seeking a Maintenance Tech for our client in Union City, CA.
The primary function of the Temp Maintenance Technician I is to assist the Maintenance and Safety Manager in maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment per the maintenance schedule or task lists as issues arise.
Schedule: Monday-Friday (Must be available for 1st and 2nd shift)
Job Description
Start-up machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems.
o Read work orders and specifications for machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
o Inspect or test damaged parts and report defective areas that need repair.
o Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work
o Adjust- Setup packing equipment according to production schedule.
o Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to equipment specifications.
o Conduct inspection and repair tasks, building computer-based, to equipment and building according to the maintenance calendar.
o Fill out work order report (paper or PPE) and keep records in file.
o Perform tin cat trap & fly light inspection on the weeks that pest service is not performed.
o Conduct all tasks using task-specific safety procedures and wearing proper PPEs
o Active participation in Safety inspection, incident reporting and inspection
o Participate in the BOS Safety program as required
o Additional responsibilities as required
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
o Experience with Food Manufacturing equipment desired
o Mechanical, hand and power tools experience desired
o High School diploma or G.E.D certificate
o Proficiency with PCs and tablets preferred.
o Must be comfortable communicating via email, preferably in English
o Strong attention to detail
o Forklift and Aerial lift equipment operation experience required
o Spanish Speakers a plus
