Now Hiring! We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Production Supervisor for popular cuisine-bottling manufacturing company near Lyndonville, NY area. Qualified candidates must have prior lead supervisor experience in warehouse manufacturing environment, some experience with OSHA/GMPs & excellent communication skills. Production supervisor will assist managers, supervising training and completing production tasks and interact with almost all departments inside warehouse. Most importantly, lead our production employees to success and meet their daily goals.
Schedule: 2nd Shift Hours (Afternoon)
Payrate Range: 68K-80K, determined based on experience, resume and requirements.
The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising hourly employees and executing production and logistics plans. This position requires complete communication and transparency with documentation of preventative maintenances performed and documents regularly emailed to management listing all operations that were completed. This position will have a flexible on-call schedule status during the times that Production, Bulk and Sanitation are on schedule. The Production Supervisor is responsible for overall operations of the assigned shift, meet/exceed the expectations of all departments and customer, adhere to all Safety, PPE Policies and Procedures and not limited to the following below...
- Supervise the execution of production and logistics plans through operators and other hourly labor in production and warehouse functions
- Participate in the development and implementation of plans and policies to ensure compliance in all areas of responsibility
- Prior working knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam, plumbing and mechanical systems and their operations.
- Ability to read and understand and apply same from technical documents, drawings, and blueprints.
- Must possess strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills required preferably within a prior bottling facility.
- Basic knowledge of shop equipment (ex. Drill press, welders, grinders, lathes).
- Must be self-motivated, self-starter and a proven follow-through individual.
- Computer skills required: Outlook, basic knowledge of internet and the ability to meet scheduled training deadlines consistently.
- Several years’ experience in a FDA and/or USDA inspected facility.
- Support and execute relevant projects as needed
- Perform all physical requirements: walking, bending, talking lifting using warehouse equipment when necessary etc...
Qualifications:
- 3 – 5 year experience supervising a team of (6) or more within a manufacturing environment.
- 1 – 3 year experience with Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Maintenance, Transportation, Packaging and Safety.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent, required (Associate Degree, required and Bachelor’s Degree, preferred or equivalent education experience).
- Experience with Microsoft AX and/or SAP, preferred.
- Ability to work with all levels within in the organization.
- Ability to be organized and results drive.
- Good work attitude, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Continuous mental and visual attention is required to perform duties, involving repetitive or diversified work requiring constant alertness or activity, required.
- Continuous standing, walking and reaching.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures, working at heights and exposure to dust, gases, fumes and chemicals.
- Intermittent crouching/stooping, pushing/pulling, bending and lifting/lowering.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance, or up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Intermittent crouching/stooping, pushing/pulling, bending and lifting/lowering.
- Must be able to perform on-call duty on any shift and work overtime on short notice basis.
- Must be able to work Long-term, temporary assignments to any shift may be required to maintain manufacturing processes.
