We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sorter to join our team. The Sorter will play a crucial role in the processing and organization of materials, ensuring that items are sorted accurately and efficiently. Duties
- Sort materials and products according to specified criteria, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the sorting process.
- Sorting recycables, example. , Cardboard,plastic, paper, aluminum, newspaper Maintain a clean working environment.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks when necessary, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
- Conduct regular inspections of sorted materials to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Assist with loader operation and other heavy equipment tasks as required.
- Dig or move materials as necessary to facilitate sorting processes.
Qualifications
- Experience with heavy equipment operation is preferred, including forklifts and roll-off trucks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and sanitation practices.
- Previous experience in a sorting or warehouse environment is a plus but not required.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions if outdoor work is required.
- A commitment to safety standards and procedures is essential for this role.
