Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Asbestos Supervisor to lead a team of field technicians in the safe and efficient removal of asbestos-containing materials. This role requires direct interaction with property owners and clients to ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee asbestos abatement projects and ensure all technicians follow safety protocols and project guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal asbestos regulations.
- Train and mentor employees on asbestos removal techniques, safety procedures, and equipment usage.
- Supervise the setup of containment areas and ensure proper decontamination procedures.
- Conduct frequent inspections within containment areas to maintain quality control and meet project deadlines.
- Administer fit tests for employees required to wear respirators.
- Interpret blueprints and work instructions to execute job activities effectively.
- Drive company vehicles to and from job sites; maintain vehicle cleanliness and inventory.
- Ensure job sites are clean and ready for subsequent contractors or homeowners.
- Maintain accurate and complete project records.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in asbestos abatement or related field.
- Possess appropriate licenses and certifications for asbestos supervision.
- Valid driver’s license with a good standing record.
- Ability to pass a current physical and respiratory fit test.
- Proficiency in English (Bilingual in Spanish preferred).
- Strong communication skills and ability to handle sensitive/confidential information ethically.
- Willingness to work non-standard hours and occasional overtime.
- Ability to pass a background check.
