Job Title: Machinist III

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machinist III to join our team in the Southern Pinellas County/St. Petersburg, FL area. This direct hire opportunity offers an excellent compensation package with a salary of $30 per hour and a range of benefits including 4% 401k match and bi-annual bonus.
This is a 1st shift position requiring minimal supervision, where you will be responsible for planning, setting up, and operating manual and CNC lathes/mills, as well as writing CNC programs based on engineering drawings and providing technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate manual and CNC lathes and mills
- Write programs for CNC machines based on engineering drawings
- Maintain tool records, offsets, and inventory
- Perform first piece inspections and ensure quality standards
- Assist with the design and fabrication of fixtures, tooling, and prototypes
- Ensure safety and adherence to quality procedures
- Provide input for method improvements
Qualifications:
- CNC programming experience (lathe/mill)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and follow processes
- Experience with Haas, Mazak, and Swiss lathes
- Strong mechanical aptitude and advanced shop math skills
- Self-starter with minimal supervision required
