Entry Level Laboratory Technician (Cleanroom)

Salary: $42/hr

Employment Type: 6 month assignment with potential for extension

Shift: A Shift, Monday to Thursday, 5:00AM to 3:30PM (Additional Shifts Available)

We re hiring hands-on, scientifically inclined technicians to support the cleaning, inspection, and preparation of flight hardware used in advanced aerospace systems. Summary:

The successful candidate will perform general duties involved in the precision cleaning and inspection of aerospace hardware for various spaceflight systems.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
• Technical aptitude; ability to learn for cleaning and passivation using various methods (solvent/chemical, mechanical, ultrasonic, precision)
• General housekeeping skills for lab and clean room areas
• Understanding and adherence to safety regulations and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Maintenance and calibration skills for shop-level equipment (pumps, tanks, filtration systems, scales).
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
  
  

Duties:

• Clean, and passivate hardware using means such as solvent/chemical, mechanical, ultrasonic, and precision cleaning methods
• Safely handle hardware utilizing overhead cranes, hoists, and associated lifting equipment
• Use titration and other direct measurement methods to analyze and correct CPV Lab solvent/chemical systems
• Inspect hardware using visual, UV light, borescope, microscopic particle count, and high-precision weighing methods
• Package accepted hardware and supplies for storage or shipment
• Perform shop-level maintenance and calibration of equipment such as pumps, tanks, filtration systems, scales, etc.
• Conduct general housekeeping of CPV Lab and Certified Clean Room area
• Follow safety regulations and wear protective eyewear, steel-toe boots, and other applicable personal protective equipment
• Safe handling of hardware using overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting equipment
• Analytical skills for titration and direct measurement methods in lab settings
• Inspection skills using visual methods, UV light, borescope, microscopic particle count, and high-precision weighing
