Job Description:
This role is responsible for supporting the daily operations of our farm, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will have a strong background in agriculture and be able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of all company facilities and grounds.
- Operate farm machinery and equipment, including skidsteers, tractors, and forklifts.
- Cover the role of Poultry House Operator, ensuring the efficient collection and processing of eggs.
- Assist with hatchery responsibilities, including egg receiving, sorting, setting, and candling.
- Monitor and maintain bird condition, ensuring optimal health and productivity.
- Perform environmental testing, health testing, blood sampling, cloacal swabs, and fecal material sample collection.
- Accurately complete required recordkeeping documents and forms.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.)
- 1-2 years related light maintenance or agricultural experience preferred
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
- Valid driver's license
- Demonstrated accuracy in record keeping.
- Must be able to work any day of the week.
