Vice President of Operations
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to oversee the operations of our mechanical and electrical engineering departments within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role requires a hands-on approach to leadership, with a focus on optimizing operational efficiency, driving innovation, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the mechanical and electrical engineering, procurement, inventory management, production, and service operations to ensure seamless business functionality.
- Develop and standardize operational procedures across all departments to streamline processes, reduce lead times, and drive superior customer satisfaction.
- Oversee recruitment, staffing, and training initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives while optimizing workforce productivity.
- Formulate and execute strategic make-or-buy decisions to enhance operational performance and cost efficiency.
- Ensure full compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations, maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.
- Create and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) and deliverables for direct reports, ensuring clear goals and accountability.
- Collaborate with the sales and service teams to ensure accurate and achievable customer delivery schedules.
- Support the engineering team in technical applications for new product development (R&D) efforts.
- Establish clear priorities and foster open communication across all departments to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Cultivate a high-performance, collaborative team culture through strong leadership, mentorship, and talent development strategies.
- Promote a continuous learning environment through training, mentorship, and succession planning for team members.
- Report directly to the President/CEO, providing operational insights and contributing to strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, with a strong focus on mechanical or electrical disciplines in custom machinery.
- Proven leadership experience in overseeing manufacturing operations and driving cross-functional collaboration within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated success in leading operational transformations and process optimization efforts.
- Strong expertise in capacity planning, staffing forecasting, and aligning workforce needs with business goals.
- Preferably, experience working in a multinational corporation, managing global supply chains, engineering functions, and assembly processes.
- Skilled in the implementation and management of ERP systems, with a focus on training and driving system adoption and accountability.
- Extensive experience supervising mechanical and electrical engineering teams, procurement, and production in a high-paced manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated financial acumen, including experience with full profit and loss responsibility.

Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
