Medicaid Program Advisor - Office of Aging & Long-Term Care
Location is NYC
Summary :
Under the direction of the Deputy Director of the Center for the Master Plan for the Aging in the Office of Aging and Long-Term Care (OALTC), the Medicaid Program Advisor will :
- Assist Office leadership in developing, advancing and evaluating state aging and long-term care policy recommendations
- Collaborate with other OALTC and DOH divisions to organize and complete mission driven priorities and objectives
- Assist in organization and implementation of cross-agency initiatives
- Engage regularly with external stakeholders regarding statewide aging priorities and programs
- Assist with the implementation of the State's Master Plan on Aging
- Assist with implementation of various workforce and aging-in-place proposals
- In addition, other research and program development projects in aging and long-term care will be assigned to this position.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of high-level team will be expected.
- Employee must be highly motivated and able to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Employee must demonstrate strong writing, analytical and communication skills, and be able to efficiently synthesize data and complex concepts for OALTC leadership.
- Employee must have knowledge of and experience in programs related to long-term care services and supports, with knowledge of long-term care workforce issues preferred.
- Employee will also provide training and guidance to new team members who join the Center for Aging and Long Term Care Regulatory and Policy Initiatives.
