Job Position: General Labor
Pay Range: 18.00 - 22.00
Summary:
General laborer duties may include cleaning job areas, loading and assembly of product and using a variety of tools and machines such as forklifts, power tools and grinders.
Job Description:
- Execute daily work instructions received from shop manager/supervisor in a timely manner
- Dissemble steel pieces from stamped or laser cut sheets and sort according to order
- Keep manufacturing areas free of debris and dirt, and set out or put away tools
- Safely operate a forklift to handle materials and complete work
Qualification / Requirements:
- Basic math skills
- Familiar with the function of hand tools related to grinding/deburring materials
- Good attention to detail and self-motivated
- Accurately read a tape measure and micrometer
- Able to work independently through given instruction or as an active member of a team
- Manual dexterity to use hand held tools and shop machines
- Positive attitude and work ethic
- 1 year forklift operation experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- 1 year experience in general labor/manufacturing and/or metal fabrication
- Ability to understand blueprints documents
- Knowledge of simple operations in windows based computer environment; preferred in JobBOSS
- Must be able to understand and read written instructions and or directions in work related documents.
